HR Business Partner Location: Scandicci, Florence area, Italy
Fixed Term Contract: 10 months This role operates within our Italian business to provide HR leadership and expertise supporting the Supply Chain and Operations teams.
The role will maintain the HR policies and procedures across the SC and Operations in Italy in alignment with the EMEA locations, ensuring fair and consistent application and minimizing risk to the Company. This will be an HRBP role for our Plants in Italy (Scandicci and Scarperia) reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner Italy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate continuous improvement and implement new processes and procedures using strong Change Management skills. Support and coach Plant managers and SC leaders to enable them to effectively manage their teams. In conjunction with the Plant leadership team, ensure organizational design and resource capability are in place in both locations in Italy to enable achievement of business goals. Coordinate local recruitment working closely with the Talent Acquisition team and Hiring managers, ensuring headcount control and workforce planning. Stay current with employment legislation to ensure compliance and provide credible advice. Work closely with the line manager to protect the Company from any claims in HR subjects on the Plants. Work in partnership with business managers to ensure effective management of employee relations issues by providing pragmatic HR solutions that meet business needs. Act as contact for SC and Operations employees, providing professional, pragmatic, and effective advice. Build and maintain good dialogue with local unions with the support of the line manager. Ensure that the right plans are executed to continue to develop people according to business needs, talent management, and budget (training, development plan). Maintain relevant internal communication routines with employees: monthly meetings on the shop floor, general meetings, team briefs, local organization announcements, etc. CANDIDATE PROFILE First degree (any discipline) & postgraduate qualification in Human Resources. Proven experience in a similar HR manager role in an FMCG, multi-national, manufacturing company. Strong change management skills; Prosci certification is preferred. Employee and industrial relations experience with demonstrated success in negotiations with unions. Good knowledge of local employment legislation in Italy. Experience in building development and training plans. Strong personal and team leadership skills. Ability to influence without formal authority at all levels of the organization. Ability to handle complexity across multi-cultural and cross-functional borders in a matrix organization. Good balance between results-oriented and people-oriented. Structured and well organized. Good analytical skills. Self-starter, able to work remotely from line manager. Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels and cross-functionally. Strong team worker locally and internationally, able to work collaboratively and maintain a positive outlook, even under pressure. Flexible to change and embrace new initiatives. Right balance between strategic thinking and execution. Mature attitude with the ability to work remotely from direct leadership. Fluent in Italian and English (other languages as a plus).
