Client Description:
MissionThe People Budget & Reporting function is in charge of developing and managing the annual budget of the personnel costs (both fixed and variable) and the annual budget of the operating expenses of the People function.Moreover, it has the responsibility of monitoring the budget and preparing the necessary reports to analyze actual costs versus budget.The People Budget & Reporting function manages both the Country Italy budget and the Group People budget.Together and in coordination with the People Heads, local and Group, it supports the delivery of an excellent Employee Value Proposition while responding to the local business needs and Group strategy.Key responsibilities of the function at Group level are the following:
Defines the Group guidelines for identifying the HR budget and ensuring its controlStandardizes at Group level the HR administrative processesManages the intercompany secondmentsPrepares the Group HR Reporting & DashboardResponsibilitiesMain activities at Local Country Italy Level:
Manage the HR budget (personnel-labor costs and operating expenses of the People function) both at a local and international level in terms of annual drafting and quarterly reviews.Prepare monthly reports with actual costs interacting with the accounting and finance functions.Analyze deviations of actual costs versus budget and propose actions to contain them and to generate savings.Prepare budget forecasts periodically to factor personnel remuneration dynamics, operational changes/needs and any cost impacts deriving from strategic decisions.Manages all HR database to extract and prepare specific reports that may be requested on a spot basis internally and that are regularly required to comply and fulfillwith both internal and external enquiries (i.e.
rating agencies, mid
- year review, year-end closure, Pillar III etc.
).Coordinate the costs centers within the People Function in relation to the operating expenses budget of the function, which include among others recruiting, training, health & safety, travel, consultancy costs, and prepare specific reports in order to monitoring such costs.Main activities at Group Level:
Prepare monthly reports and dashboards with actual global Group personnel costs versus budget interacting with local country People and Finance functions.Monitor Group People operating expenses budget.Manage and monitor intercompany secondments from a reporting perspective.Competencies and skills required Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Law or related fieldAt least 5 years of relevant experience in the same role (in HR and/or Planning and Management Control department) within consultancy companies or in complex international or financial services companiesVery good knowledge of the cost structure of personnel cost and all the items and components of personnel remuneration & compensation, preferably with specific knowledge of the Italian banking sector and exposure to other southern European labor contractSolid analytical competencies, both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective, for reporting and monitoring purposesExposure to Top Management, complex environments / organizations and transformationsCapability to transform analysis into operational and practical proposals / actions to control and contain costsAdvanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Powerpoint; knowledge of Power BI will be a plusConsolidated Soft Skills:
