For a market-leading car manufacturer based in Italy, we are looking for a HPC Manager
Inside the Digital and Data Racing team, the person will be in charge of developing high-performance solutions tailored to the specific needs of the users (with particular regards to Aerodynamics and Vehicle Performance teams), working closely on their needs and requirements towards the optimal cost-to-performance solutions and assisting them in optimizing their applications for HPC environments. Main responsibilities Managing and optimizing HPC resources by installing, maintaining, and finetuning hardware, network configurations, and software environments to ensure maximum computational performance. Monitoring and reporting on system performance, providing support for troubleshooting, incident isolation, and resolution, while also liaising with vendors' technical support as needed. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members and management, while developing and implementing strategic plans for HPC infrastructures and resources. Required Skills/ Knowledge Proficiency in computer architecture; Expertise with parallel storages and file systems (LUSTRE, GPFS, VAST, ...); Knowledge in shared memory and distributed systems environments; Linux operating systems, scripting and programming to automate or facilitate system related functions (Bash, Perl, Python, ...); Knowledge of tools (such as BCM, XCAT, Warewulf, ...) to deploy, maintain and manage HPC clusters; A solid 5-10 years of experience in HPC is required (experience in racing, automotive, or other high-tech industries is a plus). We can expect you to have strong interpersonal skills involving ability in team working, solution-oriented approach, open and constructive communication style and time management.
