About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Housing Manager in the Housing Division/Directorate of Public Works located at an Army Garrison and is responsible for the planning, management, administration, coordination and implementation of the housing management program(s) Housing Services Office (HSO), Unaccompanied Housing (UH), Furnishings Management, Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), Privatized Army Lodging (PAL), and Army Family Housing (AFH).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
Specialized experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes the management, administration, use of enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database, training, briefing, coordination and implementation of unaccompanied housing management programs and procedures of a military installation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., related degree from an accredited college or university. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
