POSITION OVERVIEW Supporting Housekeeping Manager in supervising the housekeeping Team to maintain an outstanding level of cleanliness in the hotel and to tend to the needs of the guest from arrival to departure. RESPONSIBILITIES Satisfying guest needs and exceeding guest expectations are your #1 priority Projecting a positive hotel image Training and leadership of all housekeeping staff members Motivating and developing housekeeping staff Developing the Aman culture within the department Creating and overseeing schedules Attending daily morning briefings with management, h aving daily briefings with housekeeping staff on all shifts Keeping of a housekeeping log book Recording guest history and inputting into the computer Ensuring that all guest requests are answered in a very timely fashion Ensuring that rooms are prepared and maintained in a timely and efficient manner Daily inspection of all arrival rooms and spot checking of occupied and "turn down" rooms Daily inspection of Porte cochere and public areas and restaurant Supervising the minibar operation Responsible for guest lost & found procedures Monitoring and addressing guest comments as they relate to the housekeeping operation Working with Housekeeping and Engineering Managers to establishing a good maintenance program and ensuring swift follow up on any issues Responsible for the maintenance, service and control of all housekeeping equipment, linen and supplies Maintaining par stocks for all housekeeping supplies and placing orders in a timely fashion Communicating in an open and timely manner with Housekeeping Manager on the operation Cooperating & communicating with other departments in all resort related matters Assisting Housekeeping Manager in developing the annual housekeeping budget Responsible for the proper laundering of all linen-develops good rapport with outside laundry Maintaining a clean & neat area of operation Keeping high personal grooming standards QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of cleaning cart and supplies, washer/dryer, cleaning chemicals and all other cleaning equipment and materials as necessary Must have knowledge of cleaning products and procedures Must have experience with cleaning procedures and equipment Should be capable of evaluating new supplies and equipment under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager Experience in training new staff members and the ability to delegate work assignments Must be able to deal effectively and calmly with difficult situations, to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities Able to prioritize multiple tasks, have a sense of urgency to complete projects and be detail oriented Proficient in computer systems, including PMS (partially, HK related) and Microsoft applications Good knowledge in languages Italian and English #J-18808-Ljbffr
