We are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join our team, who possess a solid understanding of electronic engineering, to shape the future of optical data transmission. As a HW designer you will be part of the hardware development team in Vimercate, embedded in a worldwide Optical Research and Development organization.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Support the definition of HW architecture of high speed transmission and controller boards
Develop hardware applications from conception to testing, covering the following aspects: system architecture, mechanics, electronic cards, programmable components, power distribution
Produce hardware specifications, provide schematics and perform unitary tests of High speed network element controllers boards
High speed transmission boards
Define factory tests for volume production
Write test reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Perform Hardware integration and qualification of coherent optical modules
Perform Hardware integration of boards into optical transmission systems
Qualification of second source components and PCNs of any kind (clock, power supply, control, etc..)
Support Investigations of Customer and Field issues
Collaborate with teams in international Nokia locations.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Master Degree in Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering
Several years of experience in Hardware development of complex and high speed boards
Deep expertise in digital and analog electrical design
simulation tools and languages for electrical design (e.g. PSPICE, VHDL)
electrical design and layout tools
in scripting languages
in design of programmable logic
Microsoft Office
Italian & English fluently spoken and written
Strong interest and ability to in collaboration with international partners
Ability to work independently with self-motivated and highly organized methodologies
Personal flexibility and agility to provide high quality results in challenging environment.
