About The RoleAbout this opportunitySenior professional responsible for advising a client on health & safety issues relating to large construction projects, from project initiation to completion.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Monitoring and working with the principal contractor appointed to complete the project;Attending regular meetings with the principal contractor;Providing support and assistance to the principal contractor and contractors on site;Positively engaging with our client and developing, growing and maintaining our relationship;Delivering a high quality service which ensures that services meet our client's requirement;Managing the client's health safety obligations on the project to deliver a high quality service;Advising and assisting the client with their duties under the CDM regulations and other construction related health and safety standards, regulations and legislations;Assisting with the coordination of health and safety aspects of design work;Cooperating with others involved with the project;Facilitating good communication between the client, designers and contractors;Liaising with the principal contractor regarding ongoing design work;Producing and presenting regular reports to our main client – this will involve prompt flash reports of major issues as well as comprehensive weekly and monthly reports detailing all aspects of health and safety management on site;Mentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potential;Preparing bids for services;Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or will arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance;As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to:Opportunities to develop and grow your careerEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFlexible working arrangementsAbout YouWho we're looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key SkillsSound construction-related health and safety management experience as an owner representative / consultant.Experience in industrial construction projects or data centres construction projects with similar job function.Experience in delivering services on a live construction site in France.Sound knowledge of construction-related national (French) health and safety regulations and standards, as well as international best practices.Cohesive knowledge of construction methods.Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation relating to construction.Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.Competent ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to work as part of a team and lead teams.Proficiency in English.About UsJoining usBe part of the extraordinary.
