Bring your passion, bring your energy, and plug into a team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Innovation HSE Senior Product Line Specialist will implement Product Line wide performance improvement programs and practices to ensure an exemplary Health, Safety and Environmental culture throughout the assigned Product Line.
Person hired on this position will coach, support and provide advice to leadership and line managers on Health, Safety and Environmental matters and report on the performances of the respective Product Line along the Hitachi Energy value chain.
This position will support the business by applying in-depth Health, Safety and Environmental knowledge to offer solutions and advice.
Your Responsibilities Drives behavioral change through improvement programs, initiatives, trainings, and practices in the Product Line to ensure an exemplary Health and Safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization.
Contributes to and/or plans and executes Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and Corporate Responsibility related projects.
Develops and reports on project objectives.
Engages external and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback.
Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive performance.
Contributes to ensuring that the area of responsibility is appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Supports implementation of Company policies and standards.
Supports ensuring area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit.
Assists HUB manager in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfill their roles, according to local HSE law and Hitachi Energy policy, instructions, and standards.
Supports compliance with human rights, security, and crisis management processes.
Facilitates HSE risk management process in the HUB units by unit managers and ensures all processes are implemented.
Guides, motivates and develops both direct/indirect HSE professionals within HR policies.
Provides regular coaching and sharing of good practices with all units in the Product Line.
Leads and supports internal incident investigation standards, ensuring learnings are shared and implemented across Hub/BU/Global.
Feeds back on lessons learned and best practice from own Product Line to management and employees.
Reports on HSE performance and progress on implementation of HSE objectives and key performance indicators.
Identifies, plans and initiates training need in the Product Line, e.g.
for employees, site managers, contractors.
Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems.
Your background: Higher education – Health & Safety must have.
At least 5 years' experience in a managerial position in HSE function, preferably in manufacturing.
Fluency in English - both written and spoken Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Environment requirements and understanding of HSE culture development.
Good understanding of the principles of Change Management.
Ability to functionally develop a team of HSE professionals.
Experience and/or familiarity with HSE ISO standards Performance oriented and experience working in international teams as well as regional and local teams.
Ability to build trust with different stakeholders on all managerial levels.
Ability to self-initiate actions, decision making, overcoming problems.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
