The Canadian School of Florence seeks an experienced, well-qualified teacher of Health & Physical Education to teach part-time across Grades 9-11 and to lead school co-curriculars in a variety of sports at a co-educational international school.
This is a part-time assignment (20 hrs a week)
She/ he will have experience of teaching and will have a proven track record to produce
successful student results both in the classroom, and in co-curricular sports activities.
She/he will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with
Education.
She/he will be passionate about innovative and experiential learning that will
draw on students' interests, and the excellent opportunities presented by being in an
international school, whilst maintaining the academic integrity of the Ontario Ministry
curriculum.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
To deliver Ontario Curriculum courses in Healthy Active Living across the Senior School.
To deliver co-curricular activities in a variety of sports.
Necessary:
Experience teaching Physical Education
Works exceptionally well with others
Can inspire and lead high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English language, EU passport or authorized to work in Italy
Has experience supporting pupils with a range of Academic needs
Experience teaching students who do not speak English as a first language
Certified Ontario Teacher preferable
