About Our Client Our client is a multinational manufacturing company operating in the food industry.
Job Description Reporting in solid line to the General Manager, the new manager will be responsible for the following tasks: Oversee daily production operations, ensuring that processes are carried out in compliance with established policies and procedures, with a strong focus on continuous improvement; Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering international good practices to enhance business processes, reduce costs, and improve operations.
This includes modifying material weights and standards, as well as conducting tests to ensure material quality; Coordinate Quality Control activities related to the implementation of food quality and safety procedures in production processes (e.g., raw materials, internal checks); Collaborate with other relevant departments and external authorities on matters concerning product/process quality and the Quality Management System; Prepare, review, and update Quality Plans in line with internal developments and market needs; Manage audit plans, both internal and external (including client audits), while coordinating the involvement of other relevant departments; Conduct regular internal and supplier audits/inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry good practices, and internal quality policies; Lead cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve customer complaints, product nonconformity, and quality incidents, implementing effective preventive actions; Promote a culture of quality excellence within the business unit by raising awareness, providing training, and engaging employees; Develop a competency matrix for all members of the quality team and implement training programs to enhance both technical and interpersonal skills; Oversee the definition and review of product or process specifications, as well as setting requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance; Build strong relationships with various organizational stakeholders, including customers, local authorities, labor unions, and suppliers, demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with the company's core values.
The Successful Applicant University Degree in Food Technology / Microbiology / Environmental Sciences / Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or similar; Previous strong experience in quality control/management in a similar food industry with advanced knowledge of industry practices, regulatory agency requirements, and industry standards; Lead auditor for 9001, 14001 & 18001 standards; Ability to build working relationships (colleagues, clients, and suppliers) both at local and global levels; Goal-oriented, high achiever with strong analytical skills; Excellent interpersonal, presentation, influencing, and verbal reasoning skills; Fluency in English is required.
