JOB MISSION
Ensure to maintain the standards of quality excellence of the product along the value chain and throughout the lifecycle, by implementing, monitoring and developing a comprehensive quality management system on a global scale. This role is critical to maintaining brand integrity and reputation, ensuring that the company operates in compliance with international quality standards and regulations applicable to the industry, as well as promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
What You Will Do:
Develop and continuously improve the quality management system globally, ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards, through implementation and monitoring of quality assurance on the following processes:
Non-conformity and Complaints: Guarantee effective monitoring of non-conformities and customer complaints, collaborate with cross-functional teams in analyzing root causes and to address product and process deviations, ensure that corrective and preventive actions are promptly implemented for continuous improvement of product and process quality.
Corrective actions-Preventive actions (CAPA): Lead the implementation and verification of CAPA to address any identified quality issues, ensure tracking system, timely closure and effectiveness checks, drive improvement initiatives and quality enhancement programs based on CAPA findings.
Process validation: Oversee global process validation activities, to ensure that product development and manufacturing processes are capable of consistently meeting specifications, collaborate with Supply Chain, MKTG and R&D teams to definition of validation protocols and reports.
Management of Changes: Ensure that changes to products, processes, or systems are adequately evaluated and controlled. Lead the quality review of changes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Auditing (internal and third party): Lead internal and third-party audit programs, to ensure compliance with global quality standards and regulations, and coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies for certifications and inspections management.
Supplier validation: Ensure that all suppliers are properly qualified and meet the company's quality standards, conduct regular supplier audits and evaluations to maintain the integrity of the supply chain, collaborate with Procurement to address supplier-related quality issues.
Documentation management and Training: Oversee the global quality documentation system, ensure that training programs related to quality processes and requirements are developed and assess the effectiveness, promote training and initiatives for company quality standards improvement.
Supervise QA team and leads the deployment of strategies and initiatives for Quality assurance and improvement.
Define and monitor quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs) and take action on any deviations from set targets. Plan and manage the global QA department budget, in coordination with Quality Director, ensuring operational effectiveness and optimization of available resources.
Who You Are:
Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, preferably within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Quality Standards: Proficiency with quality standards like ISO 22716 (Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices - GMP), ISO 9001, and familiarity with safety and testing standards specific to beauty products.
Laboratory Testing Knowledge: Understanding of product testing methods, such as microbiological testing, stability testing, and safety assessments.
Product Development Process: Familiarity with formulation development, raw materials, production processes, and packaging standards in the beauty industry.
Regulatory Knowledge: understanding of global regulatory requirements for cosmetics and personal care products (e.g., FDA in the U.S., EU Cosmetics Regulation, REACH, ASEAN guidelines).
Supply Chain Quality Management: Knowledge of supply chain dynamics, including quality control of raw materials, packaging, manufacturing, and distribution processes.
Certifications: Certifications like Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ISO Auditor, Six Sigma, or relevant regulatory certifications can be advantageous.
Product Lifecycle Knowledge: Familiarity with the entire product lifecycle, from formulation to manufacturing, distribution, and post-market surveillance.
Risk Management: Experience in conducting risk assessments, implementing CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and handling recalls if necessary.
Cross-Cultural Competence: Ability to work with global teams and understand cultural differences that may affect quality standards or perceptions.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to deal with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and other third parties to ensure quality standards.
Customer Focus: Understanding of customer expectations, feedback, and complaints to ensure that products consistently meet quality standards.
Fluent English is mandatory.
