Our growth implies an increasing political role and social responsibility, and this is why we are looking for someone to represent Glovo in Italy's political, social, and institutional ecosystem.
In this role you will be working closely with our General Manager, leadership team, and global teams, to design and implement our public affairs strategy in Italy.
**Be a part of a team where you will**:
- Define and manage the Public Affairs & Government Relations strategy, and contribute to the broader non-market strategy, in direct coordination with our General Manager, regional and global teams.- Map core policy, social, legal and institutional dynamics and identify how they impact Glovo and how Glovo can contribute to positive change.- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders in Italy such as public institutions, political parties, think tanks and more.- Manage day-by-day relations with trade unions, opening dialogue with them, receiving feedback while defending Glovo interests at the same time.- Lead new rider's CBA negotiations, defending Glovo's business model with trade unions, and working closely with business association.- Work across Glovo with different teams (Marketing, Legal, Operations, People, etc.)
to identify the policy relevance of their strategies and needs, taking action accordingly.- Be an active member of an international team of policy professionals seeking to make reality Glovo's commitment to a future that is socially and environmentally sustainable.- Contribute local best practices and expertise.- Monitor, analyze and ensure compliance of existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting the company and its stakeholders.- Design regulatory and legislative proposals in support of Glovo business strategies.- Ensure coherence of messages and actions in all Glovo strategic engagements and with Public Relations.- Crisis management when/if needed.
**You have**:- An overwhelming passion for tech and the digital economy.
Previous work experience in a startup or high-demanding environment is a plus.- Superior understanding of the social, economic and political context in areas affecting the business and policy goals of Glovo.- A natural inclination for social relations and an innate talent for persuading, engaging and involving stakeholders of all kinds, regardless of who you're dealing with, around shared goals.- The attitude of a self-starter, the versatility of a chameleon, the vision of a day-dreamer, and the pragmatism of someone who knows that the world can be changed only KPI after KPI.- Fluency in Italian and English.- Strong match with Glovo values (see below).- People management experience is a plus.
