Key Responsibilities The Head of Projects is specializing in Solar Project Management and Development.
You will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing solar energy projects from conception to completion.
You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of project development, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
This role requires a deep understanding of solar energy systems, project management principles, planning complex group of activities and a proven track record of successfully delivering solar projects.
Project Planning and Development Drive project development strategies tailored to the Italian solar market; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create project scopes, timelines, and budgets aligned with master plan standards.
Managing C&I and EPC projects Plant development (large scale-earth) in Italy; Plant development (retail and industrial) in Italy; Project management; O & M All Maintenance actions management; Safety and Health auditor knowledge; Business development and technical/sales management; Technical due diligence; Permitting (VIA-AU-PAUR); Support in evaluation of the possible grid connection points as well as the external and internal access possibilities (AT and MT).
Supervision and Lead in the Authorization Process of Multi MW Photovoltaic Power Plants Elaboration and Supervision of the planning process of power plants; Management and tracking of in-house portfolio and external partner of several sites all over Italy; Support and Participation in the planning permission; Support and Participation in the environmental assessment; Environmental impact studies; Layout study, cable duct and environmental mitigation; Project management of multi MW Photovoltaic power plants clusters; Technical due diligence; Management of a short in house team; Contact with land owners and Public administration; Technical and economic evaluations of PV plants; Management of co-developers, external legal offices and engineering firms; Drafting documents for management and investors (decision papers, one pager, new business model...); Management of all layouts, mitigation and compensation aspects for the all pipeline.
Regulatory Compliance (Italy) Stay updated on Italian solar energy regulations and ensure project compliance; Work closely with regulatory authorities to secure permits and approvals specific to the Italian market.
Budget and Cost Control Develop and monitor project budgets in alignment with Italian financial practices; Implement cost control measures specific to the Italian market to optimize project efficiency.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Italian solar energy sector.
In-depth knowledge of the Italian solar market, including regulations, permitting processes, and local business practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Good level of English and Italian.
Ability to travel within Italy and internationally as required.
Preference would be given to people who belong to "Categorie Protette" (L. 68/99 either art.1 or art.18).
Place of Work Either Milan or Bari.
Contract and Benefits Permanent contract ; RAL € 50.000-60.000 + incentive + benefits.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
