THE COMPANY
Our client, a multinational that leads the Energy sector, commissioned our Engineering Division to search for a Head of Project Management based in the South of Rome.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for local project operations, in alignment with BU and LBU business strategies;Ensuring the local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and Energy Policies;Leading the Project Management Office team and ensuring that Energy policies, directives, instructions, and guidelines are followed;Developing and continuously improving respective processes based on industry best practices;Incorporating findings from lessons learned from project execution into continuous improvement actions;Participating in the Bid/Sales Phase, including estimating and resource planning;Overseeing project management activities at the portfolio level through project reviews with the management team and Project Managers, and taking an active role in resolving escalated issues;Ensuring that project closure is performed properly and timely for all projects in the portfolio;Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders of the PMO and serving as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues;Reinforcing and maintaining a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations;Leading the PMO team to establish and enforce an effective project management approach to achieve both project and organizational goals;Developing project organization jointly with the management team and Project Managers;Planning, assigning, and managing project resources based on competencies, project fit, and availability;Developing project management capacity and capability in line with Energy Group directives and processes;Structuring the area of responsibility to fit the business model, ensuring it is sufficiently staffed with skilled resources and directed appropriately;Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect reports;Living core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 10 years of experience as PM or Senior PM;
- PMP Certification is nice to have;
- Management functions experience is nice to have;
- Knowledge of Office365 (Excel, Microsoft Project) and SAP;
- Knowledge of Italian and English languages;
- Availability to travel;
- Flexibility, leadership, good standing, proactivity, result-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
