Role
As the Head of Operations, you will oversee all operational aspects of our company's activities, ensuring seamless execution of projects and alignment with strategic goals. Reporting directly to the CEO of Politecna, you will lead a team of professionals across various disciplines, including planning and design, public authorities engagement, construction oversight, and safety management. Additionally, you will serve as an experienced technical director adept at managing contracting authorities.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define long-term goals and business expansion plans.
• Managing budgets.
Operational Management:
Provide oversight and guidance to the planning and design, public authorities, construction oversight, and safety departments.
Ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization across projects and disciplines.
Analysing productivity data and optimising staffing and production capacity.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and motivate a team of Project Management Office (PMO) professionals and planners.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
Designing new processes to improve quality or increase productivity or profitability
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with the commercial and tender team to identify business opportunities and support proposal development.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success and compliance.
Utilize your expertise as a technical director to effectively engage and manage contracting authorities.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices across all operational activities.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the engineering or architecture industry.
In-depth knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and its applications.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Extensive experience as a technical director managing contracting authorities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
