Primary function: Lead and manage a team of engineers specializing in inverter design and development.
Develop technology roadmaps for inverters that align with the overall electric propulsion systems roadmap.
Set long-term objectives and milestones for inverter technology advancements.
Apply deep knowledge of automotive traction inverter product development for the whole development process and product lifecycle, being inline with recent technological changes.
Focus on hardware & function design as well as functionalities.
Drive innovation in inverter technology to enhance performance efficiency and cost.
Support various product lines (light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles) with adaptable technical and commercial solutions.
Align team members with the technology roadmaps and company objectives.
Work closely with other departments, including electric propulsion systems, production, and commercial teams as well as vehicle electrification.
Ensure all inverter products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality targets.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
Adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the inverter market.
Ensure competitiveness through continuous benchmarking.
Lead Engineering Team: Manage and mentor over 15 inverter engineers.
Must have experience in leading a team that have designed, developed and launched inverter for mass production.
Develop Technology Roadmaps: Align inverter technology with electric propulsion systems and vehicle electrification.
Oversee Inverter Design: Direct the development of automotive traction inverters.
Implement Scalable Architectures: Create modular solutions for all vehicle categories.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with other departments for system integration.
Manage Projects: Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources.
Ensure Quality and Compliance: Meet safety and regulatory standards.
Promote Innovation: Foster continuous improvement within the team.
Communicate with Stakeholders: Update management and act as the inverter engineering point of contact.
Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed and adjust strategies accordingly.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
Experience: 15+ years in automotive traction inverter design and production; managed teams of 15+ engineers.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of inverter technology and electric propulsion systems; experience with scalable and modular architectures.
Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership and motivational abilities; excellent communication skills.
Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects, timelines, and budgets; ensuring on-time delivery.
Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with various departments for seamless system integration.
Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of industry regulations; ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
