THE MISSIONWe are looking for a motivated and passionate internal auditor to take care of Scalapay's internal audit activities. The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for third level controls and will work with the corporate bodies and the other departments to enhance the internal control system of the company and foster a first in class compliance culture within the entire group.
The position will report to the Board of Directors.
You will:Define and periodically update a risk-based audit plan that includes ICT audits, compliance audits and process audits including audits of third-parties activities;Perform the planned audits and prepare the related audit reports ensuring an effective communication of the loopholes identified and recommending mitigation measures;Implement a follow up procedure to ensure and report the timely implementation of the corrective actions;Perform advisory activities required by the Board of Directors or by the Board of Auditors;Perform special investigations as required;Maintain open communication with Board of Directors, Board of Auditors and Senior Management;Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement for the company and the regulator;Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards;Develop and implement effective audit techniques and procedures.Skills and experience required:At least 5/7 years of internal auditing or comparable work-related experience within a banking, payment institutions, IMEL or consulting firms. Experience working in a fintech or innovative firms is a plus;Possess a good knowledge of AML, risk management, ICT, outsourcing and regulatory reporting procedures and credit consumer regulations;Have proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations;Have a thorough knowledge of financial institutions' policies, procedures and practices with a good knowledge of laws and regulations;Autonomy in managing activities and strong organisational and planning skills, handling multiple projects;Sound independent judgement;Excellent communications skills and the ability to express ideas clearly interacting cross-functionally with employees at all levels;Our recruitment Process:A chat with someone from our Talent Team;The first interview with our Internal Auditor to dive deep into your experiences and better understand your motivation;A case study to test your hard skills, which will be debriefed with our Chief Legal Officer, Treasury Director, and Internal Auditor.A final in-depth interview with our CEO, Simone Mancini to check your cultural fit with the team.Super Pro tip: we know that application processes can be scary and frustrating but… we look for talent, not people that tick all our boxes.
