Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of European Sales.
In this role, directly reporting to the Global Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing our sales operations across Europe, driving revenue growth, and expanding our market presence in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales management within the chemical industry, particularly in the field of household insecticides and pesticides.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in Europe.
Lead, train, mentor and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, distributors, and industry to grow partnerships loyalty.
Identify new business opportunities and market trends, train and educate the customers to support and capitalize on their growth potential.
Collaborate and align with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and operations, to ensure alignment and execution of sales strategies.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market data and customer feedback to optimize sales strategies and initiatives and provide comprehensive commercial reports to the Leadership Team.
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry developments related to biocidal and agricultural markets household insecticides and pesticides in Europe.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Agriculture, Biology or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in international sales management, preferably in the chemical industry; advanced know-how of PPM and HHI markets is a significant advantage.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable plans.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for BPR and PPPR segments and pesticides in Europe.
Willingness to travel extensively within Europe as needed.
Location: This position is based in Bologna (Italy) and may require extensive travel within Europe and internationally.
