To support Management in ensuring compliance with the Group Data Privacy Guidance and GSH and reinforcing data governance.
The Head of data privacy and data management will work closely with the AXA Partners Global DPO, the AXA Partners Chief Data Officer (CDO) and will act as a primary contact person for any Data Privacy matters or issues and the AXA Group Data Privacy Guidance.
**DIMENSIONS OF ROLE**
In charge of data privacy matters,
Act as a business partner to Management and Chief IT, Information and Operation Officers and any business teams, with alignment with their strategic priorities and pipeline,
Work collaboratively with others in the Legal and Compliance function to ensure a One AXA approach,
Support AXA Partners on data privacy matters to facilitate cross sell opportunities/initiatives and AXA Partners business activity in a transversal manner,
Immersed in an international environment.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Provide strong data privacy expertise and guidance to the management and the business in their day-to-day activity, including deletion of personal data (structured/ unstructured data),
Help the Global DPO in monitoring the activity and the compliance of the AXA Partners, with data protection laws and with AXA Group's data protection policies and standards,
Reinforce data governance, including animation of a network of data stewards and coordination of data quality initiative,
Ensure maintenance of data compliance documentation (Records of processing activities, Data Classification),
Provide effective awareness and training sessions to the staff involved in data processing operations,
Understand the processing operations carried out within AXA Partners as well as the information systems, and data security and data protection need of AXA Partners,
Design and implement appropriate all data processes, policies, procedures and deliverables, to support the local business in an efficient way,
Ensure respect of data privacy by design principle and perform data protection impact assessments, have due regard to the risks associated with the processing operations and propose mitigation measures taking into account the nature, scope, context and purposes of the processing,
Collaborate with the internal Audit and Risk Management teams, local data protection authority and other relevant regulators, attendance at data protection authority inspections, handling audit submissions and other information submission requirements,
Handle complex negotiations of contracts with third parties (providers, suppliers, customers) on data privacy,
Be an active member of the DPO Community,
Act as DPO with Data Protection Authority if required,
Attend to Data Privacy, Architecture, and Risk Committees.
**Your Profile** SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years' experience in Data Privacy,
Strong knowledge of data protection law and practices (legal and technical skills),
Demonstrable work experience and a proven track record of dealing with complex data protection and privacy issues,
Understanding and experience of insurance and IT industry,
Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English and also with all levels of the organization,
Strategic thinker with excellent legal and business judgment,
Integrity and high professional ethics and business acumen,
Proven drafting and negotiation skills.
