The Head of Data and Digital Media (DDM) role is to control and oversee business operations in Italy, including financials, talent, local client relationships, work, client education, and perception in the market.
The Head of DDM will be responsible for ensuring the overall increasing success of the business and functioning of the DDM team as well as it's integration with our content practice and evolution of the market.
The Head of DDM is a strategist and a leader able to steer the company in the direction given by the S4 Country MD and global leaders while putting together the nuts and bolts needed to meet the vision, mission and long term goals.
The Head of DDM role requires strong people management skills and empathy, out of the box thinking, and a willingness to learn, mentor, train and hire new talent.
The Head of DDM must be able to collaborate with local and pan-EMEA regional teams, be a connector for other capabilities and assist the local team members in making connections with other S4 capabilities and regions around the world.
The Head of DDM Italy will report into the Head of DDM EMEA with a dotted line into S4 MD for Italy.
The overarching goals of the Head of DDM are to (1) ensure we are reaching the vision, goals and objectives set by the core leaders, (2) ensure that the individuals working in the DDM Italy team are well cared for and supported, (3) and that there is strong and strategic growth of DDM in Italy (reflected in strong net revenue figures).
**The Head of DDM Italy will be responsible for**:
General Business & Market
- Meeting the agreed upon targets and co-setting year over year goals (financial, operational, human resource, market)
- Ensuring that the quality of work is up to the highest standards and expectations of our clients and ourselves
- Nurture staff culture, be the leader in market sharing country vision, building trust and confidence in the teams
- Partner directly with the growth teams and lead business growth - new business as well as organic evolution of the business
- _Strengthening relationships with strategic partners (E.g.
Google, Amazon,Meta)_
- Look for efficiencies throughout the business end to end and in collaboration with our Content practice
- Give local market updates to the regional teams as needed (monthly S4 calls, written updates etc)
- Act as a public speaker and representative of the company in ways that improve our standing in market and reputation.
- Work with Head of DDM EMEA to uncover M&A opportunities, work with the regional team in supporting the successful tuck ins of new companies we merge with/ acquire
- Bring forward new ideas focused on increasing the business and bettering the environment for the people who work with us.
Financials & Legal
- Manage the country P&L for DDM
- Oversee and be ultimately accountable for DDM Italy's financial performance
- Work with regional leads to manage DDM headcount and staffing
- _Be ultimately responsible for any legal requirements and obligations in market (clients, employees, business partners)_
People
- Push for consolidated ways of working across our offerings
- Ensure the culture is aligned with Media.Monks Italy
- Work with capability leads to ensure we have strong technical expertise in our people and practices
- Build the morale of the team members through every touch point of our evolution and growth
- Safeguard against talent attrition
- Work with capability leads to review and offer raises and promotions with the proper oversight of individual growth and company EBITDA and revenue goals
**Key Qualifications**:
- 10+ years of management experience with a proven record of coordinating diverse teams with disparate responsibilities to tangible client successes or goals while ensuring the health, development, and motivation of the team
- Proven communicator who can present a clear, well-supported point of view, tell a compelling "story," and "sell" data and media buying engagements
- Must be very organized with a high level of attention to detail, yet be able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Ability to define concrete action items in an ambiguous situations is a must
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Located in Milan
