Head of Communications and Marketing
St George's British International School is seeking an experienced Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on improving the parent experience around communications from and with the school, as well as to continue to showcase St George's as a world-class school.
The Role
The Head of Communications and Marketing will be responsible for driving the communications and marketing strategy across all areas of the school. Branding and positioning of the school within the Italian school market will be a key focus. This newly created position will be a member of the Joint Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Management and Strategy
Provide innovative leadership in creating a marketing and brand strategy.
Lead the Communications and Marketing team to ensure a cohesive approach.
Foster collaboration with other departments to create streamlined communications.
Understand and keep up to date with industry best practices.
Work alongside other senior leaders to contribute to the whole school strategic plan.
Communications
Review and monitor the effectiveness of existing internal communication processes.
Liaise closely with the Data and Systems Officer to improve communication platforms.
Develop and improve school communication systems for timely messages.
Oversee a consistent communication of the St George's identity and values.
Manage timely communications around events and notices.
Marketing
Lead the development and execution of an external marketing strategy.
Manage the Marketing, Website and Social Media team.
Oversee the ongoing development of the school's website.
Review and oversee the development of marketing material.
Lead the advertising strategy to reinforce the school's brand.
Ensure consistency and control of branding and merchandise.
Qualifications and Skills
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (required).
Hold an MBA (desirable).
Speak English to native level (required).
Have a minimum of five years' experience of managing brands and developing marketing strategies.
Prior experience in a school environment (advantageous).
Proficiency in current marketing trends.
Possess strong leadership skills.
Be a strategic thinker with effective analytical skills.
Have excellent relationship building and people management skills.
Be an advanced user of social media for professional purposes.
Experience in Graphic design and web editing.
