OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellite and Missions Department in Rome or Milano a Harness Designer (M/F) REF.Harness_2024 The "Electrical Power Systems Harness Engineering" unit belongs to the "Integrated Systems-Satellites Missions" Business Unit.
We are responsible for the Harness and Electrical Power Subsystem architecture leading relevant engineering activities in the whole lifecycle of projects and/or products, from initial conceiving and feasibility studies, bids and proposal preparation, design and implementation, up to launch, LEOP and in orbit operations and maintenance.
Main tasks of the Electrical Power Systems Harness Engineering team: Definition of the Harness and Electrical Power subsystem architecture.
Requirement analysis, flow down and subsystem architectures trade-off.
Electrical power and harness analysis and performance verification.
Assess energy balance, resources sizing and justification.
Customer and Subco's technical follow-up.
Electrical Power Subsystem and Harness IVVQ at spacecraft level.
Electrical Power Subsystem and Harness support to S/C AIT tests and launch campaign.
Participation to bids for solution identification and costing definition.
Your Tasks: Technical management of suppliers selected for MAIT.
Definition of Wiring Lists in terms of logical/physical interconnections, wires, bundles, and data entry in the DC Harness Database.
Definition of Electrical Parts List including types and quantities of DC and RF connectors, back-shells, waveguide, cables, and data entry in the DC/RF Harness Database.
Control and validation of 3D routing.
Wiring diagrams.
Support the program reviews and progress meetings.
Support AIV/AIT for Harness integration with technical management of NCRs (if any).
Participate to the reviews with the suppliers.
Your Qualifications: You have a Diploma Electric qualified or bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering.
You have 3 years of experience in a similar position in at least one of these application fields: Earth Observation program / spacecraft design and test phases up to the launch / LEOP and commissioning, or Navigation / Telecom platform with Transfer phase accomplished through Electric Propulsion means.
Specific knowledge: (Electrical engineering standards is considered a plus) ECSS-E-ST-20C, ECSS-E-ST-20-08C, ECSS-E-ST-50-12C, ECSS-E-ST-50-14C, MIL-STD-1553-B Standard Office SW tools CHS or similar tools English (base or intermediate) Nice to have qualifications: Customer focused, proactive attitude.
