Job Summary: Experienced Hardware Test Engineer responsible for the design and verification of test benches.
Responsibilities and Duties: Design, development, and verification of electronic test equipment.
HW/HW integration verification and support for the integration checks of HW/SW in open systems.
Support in the verification of electronic cards.
Support during the non-formal engineering validation phases.
Analysis of test requirements.
Creation and management of the documentation required for test equipment.
Definition and development of test cases and procedures.
Requirements management and traceability.
Generation of the traceability matrix of the requirements from HW requirements to verification test cases.
Interacting with possible subcontractors in case of off-load of verification tests execution and review of the generated outputs.
Support to troubleshooting to fix issues found on the HW design.
Qualifications and Skills: Master's degree in electronic engineering or similar disciplines.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, integrating, and verifying boards.
Ability to generate accurate life-cycle hardware and software artifacts required for formal documentation of the software design and verification process.
Digital skills: knowledge of office automation and PLM packages.
Experience in the verification of analogue and digital cards.
Knowledge of the main buses/communication protocols (such as SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485).
Competence in the use of laboratory instruments such as spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Attitude to work in pipeline, taking over the artifacts (documents, code) generated by other members of the working team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of English language, both in writing/reading technical documentation and in speaking/listening during project meetings and design reviews.
Preferred Skills: Experience in the avionic field, with the related standards and interface devices/protocols.
Organized and systematic to maintain documentation in appropriate order.
Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink.
Concepts of inertial navigation systems.
