Role Description Grivel is seeking a proactive and passionate hardgoods product designer and developer to work in its R&D department and move forward its tradition and heritage of over 200 years in the business. You will work closely with all the R&D team, the athletes, and the suppliers to develop world-class products within our core business: technical mountain equipment. This hands-on role requires actively designing and developing products, managing samples, and testing to meet our expectations and standards. Responsibilities Design new products according to product briefs and inputs Research and study materials and technologies to apply them properly on new projects Ensure the respect of PPE standards and norms (where applicable) on new projects Manage and oversee the creation of samples Manage and oversee the field testing of new samples Follow the projects from ideation to industrialization Skills & Qualifications Excellent technical skills (mechanics, materials, technologies) Mastery of 3D drawing Good knowledge of 3D printing Deep understanding of the market and the products Curiosity, excellent listening skills, assertiveness, creativity, independence, and strong organizational abilities. Ability to manage projects and follow planning and reporting A university degree in Engineering or a related technical field, demonstrating a solid educational foundation for the role Climbing/mountaineering/skiing experience not mandatory but highly recommended.
