Position Summary
This position is a key role in S&OP (Sales & Operation Planning) & IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process of Samsung.
Being in charge of supply planning for Home Appliance Product groups, he/she will work closely with HQ, Factories, Marketing and Sales team to finalize long term sales and production plans by SKU considering each SKU lead time, factory capacity, warehouse stock and possible additional sales.
Supply planner's objective is to ensure optimal stock and arrivals to avoid/ minimize aging stock risk and maximize sales.
By doing so, the Supply planner must most reliable and realistic supply plan by model to ensure the proper sales & adequate channel inventory planning for reducing supply chain cost.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a detailed channel PSI (Purchasing, Sales, Inventory) analysis and forecast sell-out trend, collecting marketing, sales order & product availability information.
Find implications from the analysis, and actively suggest efficient demand plans to sales team.
- Demand planning for a long period based on historical data, seasonality forecast and collaboration with Sales/Marketing.
Weekly update and adjustment due to current sales results, confirmed production and stock availability
- Managing and monitoring production plans (supply) to ensure alignment with actual demand, communication with HQ and factories for best and proper supply solutions
- Monitoring inventory level, future arrivals and planning corrective action where necessary on a weekly basis
- Analysing and comparing actual sales situation with the sales forecasts, highlighting major discrepancies and discussing with relevant departments possible solution in order to meet targets
- Working with Sales, Marketing and agents for critical item management, goods allocation and best supply schedule to fulfil customer requirements
- Provide weekly or ad-hoc demand planning analysis and reporting: analysis of WOS level, Forecast Shape, etc.
- Manage the master data for planning system and execution system integrated
- KPI simulation for nearest future to detect and prevent possible bottlenecks
- Supporting top management in decision-making with data analyses and reports
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Educational Background: Master / Bachelor in SCM, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or in Data Science.
Professional Background: at least two years' experience in SCM / analytical tasks, consumer electronics or FMCG industry experience preferred.
Computer Knowledge: Excellent Office package especially Excel, Qlik and SAP knowledge
Language Knowledge: Good written & spoken English & Italia, Korean knowledge is must.
Others: Excellent analytical skill & intelligence, Good communication skill with customers or with other teams, good coordination skills between sales and operation.
