alllocaljobs.comSummaryReporting to the Global Procurement Director (part of WW Finance), the Head of Direct Procurement as a business partner function is in charge of the coordination and the monitoring of the procurement initiatives and performance for the production area.He/She analyses, proposes, and implements cost-efficient and innovative procurement initiatives in line with our standard of quality.Together with the team reporting directly to him/her, he/she works in close collaboration with the different internal departments (Ready-to-Wear, Shoes and Leather goods, Jewelry and Watches) and interfaces with the strategic vendors.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:Manager of a team, he/she is in charge of ensuring the following activities:Build the company internal plan and priorities regarding procurement activities.Collaborate with the different departments and budget owners to identify innovative procurement strategies considering internal requirements and framework, best practices, market trends, supplier capabilities, and encourage/support the implementation.Contribute to the assessment and selection of the most accurate suppliers in compliance with internal/external regulations and procedures.Encourage and support competitive sourcing activities (from strategy definition to final selection).Ensure accurate contractualization with selected suppliers (appropriate deliverables and risk avoidance) in accordance with the legal department.Contribute to monitor supplier performance thanks to stakeholder feedback and internal KPIs.In charge with the Procurement team to follow and report the results of the department to the management.Desired Skills and Experience - Key Requirements:Degree in Economy/Finance/Management Engineering.At least 5-7 years of experience in a similar function in a fashion and production environment.Experience in project leading, tender organization, and cost-saving projects management.Advanced analytic skills (controlling, cost analysis, scenario modelling, etc.
).Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.Fluent in Italian and English.First-class interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to challenge internal and external stakeholders and to take initiatives.Strategic thinking.Sense of ethics and integrity.Team worker and problem-solving skills.Result-oriented, proactive, and strong negotiation and diplomacy skills.Availability for frequent trips in Italy and occasionally abroad.
