Our Client is a mid-size leading multinational Company, part of a worldwide operating Group, working in the Packaging sector, with Operational and Production in Europe, U.S. and South America.
In order to strengthen their Executive Board, they're looking for an Group Research & Product Development Director.
**Posizione**:
Research and development director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of research and development within their organization.
He/She leads a team of researchers who work together to develop new products, with proposals and recommendations that will help the company succeeding in the marketplace.
- Ensuring that research projects are carried out in accordance with ethical standards;
- Evaluating the progress of research projects to ensure that they are meeting deadlines and milestones;
- Establish and deploys medium
- and long-term business strategy for the development of the company's product portfolio and know-how, ensuring compliance with quality, time, and cost standards, in accordance with company standards and procedures;
- Implement new national or international projects, strategically evaluating market trends, competitors, and potential new lines of business;
- Establishing relationships with universities, research labs, and other organizations that conduct research in areas related to the organization's interests, together with HR;
- Hiring research staff and overseeing their work responsibilities throughout the duration of a project;
- Coordinate the R&D team located in the different sites based in Europe, U.S., and South America;
- Manage project engineering efforts (on R&D and sustainability issues) defined in sharing with the Executive;
- Establish guidelines and standards to provide effective and innovative R&D solutions, ensuring project outcome and innovative development of technical solutions;
- Be an innovative interlocutor for new developments and solutions.
**Requisiti**:
The ideal profile meets the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/PHD in a science related field (biology, chemistry) economics or engineering;
- At least 15 years of relevant experiences within manufacturing companies in the packaging industry having managed a Team of co-workers and performed similar activities or project management work;
- Ability to communicate in more than one language;
- Strong personal leadership, coordination and managerial skills, interpersonal skills in order to best manage relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders and top management;
- Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills;
- Ability in driving an international team;
- Deep knowledge of all R&D processes;
- Ability to plan and performing project-based work.
Recyclability and compostability experience and knowledge are an added value in our sector.
