**Job Summary**
We are currently looking for a motivated and passionate colleague to join our **Group Legal** team.
In this position you will be based in our **Milan office** and will be responsible for providing sound legal expertise on our journey to drive business success.
**General Responsibilities**
- Draft, review, advise on and negotiate various contracts for DKSH's Business Units Performance Material (PM) and Technology (TEC), as well as other affiliate companies worldwide, in line with the Contract Manual and the Limits of Authority and with a client/customer mindset
- Collaborate with the Business, Functions and other stakeholders and provide prompt and practical legal advice on corporate/ commercial/ intellectual property (IP)/ competition/ labor/ M&A/ anti-trust laws, sustainability etc.
- Be a legal business partner to the BU.
Gain better understanding of BU's business, operations, goals and strategies to enhance the quality of legal advice given
- Collaborate with Local Legal Counsels (as applicable) in the review and negotiation of contracts, resolution of legal issues, and/or enforcement of company policies
- Manage litigations/disputes, liaise with external legal counsels and manage the related legal costs
- Investigate, prepare reports and highlight legal risks to the stakeholders, including recommendations to mitigate risks
- Manage and execute legal projects as assigned
- Manage, maintain and execute standard operating procedures, guidelines and manuals and ensure areas needing change and improvement are acted upon
- Submit periodic reports and update databases, as applicable
- Keep up-to-date with laws, regulations and best practices
- Provide legal trainings
- Perform other ad hoc matters for the Legal function
**Functional Skills and Knowledge**
- Sound knowledge of corporate law, contract and commercial law, antitrust and intellectual property law through experience in a law firm and/or an in-house environment
- Admission to Bar is an added advantage
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in a law firm or an in-house environment
- Efficient, proactive, systematic and well organized, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously, attentive to detail, trustworthy and sensitive to other cultures
- Pronounced sense of adherence to quality even in hectic situations
- Demonstrate ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Based in our office in Milan
