As a Grid Connection Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our renewable energy projects, focusing on grid integration and ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our assets within the electrical grid.What you will do:Conduct technical analysis and assessments of grid connection requirements for renewable energy projects.Manage the high/medium voltage connection process for SPP/WPP/BESS in alignment with the Italian Grid Code.Coordinate testing activities as mandated by the Italian Grid Code.Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and grid operators to facilitate grid connection processes.Design grid integration solutions, including connection layouts, protection schemes, and grid code compliance strategies.Perform studies and simulations to assess grid stability, power quality, and grid impact assessments.Coordinate grid connection agreements, permits, and regulatory approvals with relevant authorities and stakeholders.Monitor grid performance and analyze grid-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Provide technical support during project development, construction, and commissioning phases.Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies related to grid integration and renewable energy.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective grid integration solutions.What you bring:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.At least 3 years of proven experience in grid integration, electrical design, or power systems engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector.Strong knowledge of electrical grid systems, grid codes, and grid connection requirements.Proficiency in relevant software tools for grid analysis and simulation (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT, PSCAD).Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, such as wind, solar, and energy storage systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex grid-related issues.Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.Fluency in English and Italian, other languages are a plus.Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.Show resilience to stress and the ability to handle multitasking effectively.What we offer:Exceptional salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and inclusive work environment.Supportive and dynamic company culture.Exciting and challenging projects.At DRI, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
