Grid Delivery Manager EMEA, Infrastructure Energy TeamJob ID: 2833114 | Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L.This role is available in Madrid, Milan and FrankfurtThe AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is looking for a Grid Delivery Manager to own the delivery of large scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
If you like to leverage your technical understanding of critical substation projects including cables and overhead lines from design through energization phase, we'd like to meet you.
Your work will help drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution, support financial budgeting, and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key Job ResponsibilitiesYou will communicate with senior and VP stakeholders to deliver complex projects across diverse teams to tight timelines.You will provide weekly reporting on key project risks issues at senior management, director, and vice president level.You will drive the grid infrastructure delivery program.You will standardize processes and develop tools for delivery execution.You will support financial budgeting and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction or related field.Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.8+ years experience leading, influencing, and partnering with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-voltage (HV) grid infrastructure projects (substations, overhead lines, underground cables) under tight deadlines.5+ years experience working with Utilities with a strong understanding of Utility grid interconnection requirements and Utility culture.Demonstrated understanding of HV/MV electrical safety standards protocols.Professional communication skills in English and Italian or German.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree (MBA/MS) preferred.Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators.Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers, and cloud services.Ability to converse in Spanish/French is advantageous.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
