MED Power Plant Solutions is the department accountable for value engineering, contractual risk management, execution & product management of grid connection & plant control solutions in Vestas power plants Sales and Construction stages of the projects in Mediterranean markets, including European, African, Middle Eastern countries (EMEA South) and Latin American countries.
**Responsibilities**:
Grid Connection Codes scouting & interpretations and focused communication with System Operators in Italy and MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa)
Input Grid related market requirements to Vestas R&D ensuring future compliance and effectiveness of Plant offerings
Bring technical support to the Sales Dept.
contract negotiation and bid definition in relation to electrical and grid requirements
Participation in team selling approach and building value in each individual project and different customer profiles
Technical review of the customers' tender documentation and related risk mitigation on project specific basis
Define business case optimization and value engineering initiatives for Grid Plant offerings
Bring technical support to the Project Manager the project construction phase in relation to electrical and grid requirements specific of the project
Coordinate the technical implementation of the plant control system allowing the grid compliance of the plants
**Qualifications**:
M.Sc.
in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc.
in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems
Relevant work experience from System Operators (such as TERNA), power system or wind industry
Knowledge about grid connection code requirements
Knowledge about HV, MV equipment and Substation design
Knowledge about power system stability, control and analysis
Knowledge about electrical simulation SWs like Power Factory, PSS-E
Knowledge aboutEnergy Market in Italy
Italian & English language, both written and spoken
Ability to network and influence with Grid Operators, facilitating and securing Vestas products ability to comply with existing and coming grid code
Great communication and presentation skills
Confident talking with and presenting to external stakeholders (customers, grid operators, conferences)
Highly structured and well organized
Good travel disposition (about 15% of time) in support of customer needs and overall business goals
High personal mindset, structured and service minded work style, result oriented, able to work both with limited supervision and with an international team
Able to multitask and prioritize daily work under a ever-growing environment
