Job Description The Program Management department is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Grant/Program Management Junior Analyst to support our project team by monitoring project progress according to agreed measures and within set organizational procedures in the life sciences field.
In this role, the candidate will work within a cross-disciplinary team—including scientists, business, and corporate staff—to support the Program Manager in monitoring, controlling, and reporting on programs within the complex RD environment.
Technical understanding of project management, economic, and financial principles will be required to assist with the planning, controlling and reporting phases of projects, as well as research and related expenses (materials, services, and labor).
The successful candidate will help monitor milestones, timelines, deliverables, resources, and cost allocation to ensure project goals are met.
He/She will work as a direct collaborator with the Program Manager and closely with the scientific, financial, administrative, and business development teams.
Key responsibilities: Directly report to the Program Manager and support the reporting phases of all the projects as required Prepare all documents required for reporting and general project management, as directed by the Program Manager Search for and oversee the application process for new opportunities and/or grants Ensure that all projects are delivered on time Contribute to identifying appropriate progress measures Maintain comprehensive project documentation Serve as a liaison with scientists, business developers and corporate offices to assist in the flow and exchange of information Skills required The successful candidate will be qualified with a master's degree or equivalent in a scientific subject (economics or engineering preferred), possess good knowledge of project management tools, and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
In addition to a sound knowledge of the management of national and international grants, candidates will need to show evidence of the following: Proven working experience as Junior Project Analyst Proficiency with the project management disciplines and best practices (PMP certification is a plus) Proficiency with computer and technology skills (including Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Project, and Excel) and ability to analyze large data sets Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Good/excellent level of written and spoken English Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues Location The position will be based at IRBM's headquarters in Pomezia (Rome), Italy.
