Job Description: The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, thermal, waste, renewable generation, and transmission; distribution networks.
Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
We perform a wide range of services in the hydropower and pumped storage sectors, which is reflected in this role. You'll support the wider team in the delivery of hydropower projects, including technical due diligence services for lenders, investors and developers; technical studies including pre-feasibility; feasibility studies and FEED studies; and the review and preparation of designs and specifications. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst organising, planning and managing your own work.

As a graduate mechanical engineer in the hydropower team, your job will be varied and include both technical and project management tasks. You will work across a number of projects, providing support to the team and taking responsibility for your assigned work. In addition to project work, you will also support the team in preparation of proposals to help win new work.
The job will be primarily focused on hydropower; however, as part of the wider energy business, there will be opportunities to work in other generation technologies from time to time.
You will be part of the mechanical engineering team and report to the hydropower resourcing manager/team leader.
Ideally, you will be willing to travel short and long term.

To apply for this scheme, you will have less than 12 months relevant work experience and have a degree or are expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines: Mechanical Engineering.
In your application, you should be able to demonstrate your interest through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules or previous work experience.
