The Opportunity: As a Government Affairs Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Italian government affairs and policy strategy to support our therapy area and corporate business objectives. You will be part of an inclusive team that works to develop innovative therapies for patients. Key Activities for this Role: Provide strategic and tactical support to the Affiliate management and operations teams on Government Affairs and government/National Health System policies. Lead on translating government/National Health System policies for the business. Map the legislative cycle for key issues and manage the process by early intervention. Develop messages and materials to support policy objectives and engage with senior government and policy officials. Engage with industry bodies to obtain insights and build strong working relationships. Essential Knowledge & Experience: Extensive experience in a Government Affairs role in the Pharma sector. Proven track record of interpreting decision-making and legislative processes. Experience of leading interactions with third-party policy organizations. Demonstrable experience of implementing multiple projects. Build relationships across government and develop lobbying activities. Preferred Knowledge & Experience: Direct experience working for a policymaker in the affiliate country. Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in political sciences, life or social sciences, or equivalent. Fluent in the local language and good command of English. Additional Information: This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a blend of home and a minimum of 2 days per week in our Milan office. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
