The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste in Italy, but also Vaasa and Turku in Finland are possible locations.What you will be doingAs GM of Large Bore Technical Management you will be leading the LB Technical Management team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of our Large Bore products, including the recently introduced W46TS.As GM of Large Bore Technical Management, your work will focus on these responsibilities:Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the LB Technical Management team, continuously improving activities and fostering team growth.Product Care and Improvement: Oversee and prioritize large bore product care activities in alignment with agreed plans and budgets, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders.Quality Assurance: Lead and manage the technical quality and continuous improvement of large bore products.Platform Management: Lead and manage the large bore platform architecture and variants, including comprehensive product data, in collaboration with key stakeholders.Technical Support: Manage the essential technical support to key stakeholders, including large bore engine production at STH and JV's.Safety and Compliance: Prioritize product safety and ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance standards.To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:BSc or MSc in a relevant field, or equivalent experienceExtensive business and technical knowledge of engine productsStrong leadership skills to energize and lead the way, develop talent, and drive changeExcellent cooperation, teamwork, and communication skillsA strategic mindset with a solid understanding of financial principlesFluency in written and spoken EnglishWhy you and us?We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership, and taking responsibility for our work.
