In this role you will be responsible to support the global sustainability team in Motion Business Area. You will contribute to improving the sustainability performance of the business, with particular focus to the social sustainability dimensions of Human rights and Community engagement.
**This position reports to**:
Sustainability Manager
**Your responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the Global Corporate Responsibility Manager to effectively coordinate the global activities in the field of Human Rights and Community engagement.
- Support in the area of Community Engagement to establish and operationalize the new ABB Group framework, develop procedures and impact analysis, improve reporting in alignment with ESRS and relevant requirements, develop awareness raising initiatives and communications, build and maintain the global network of champions
- Support in the area of Human Rights to progress with the human rights due diligence and roadmap and improve the monitoring and reporting of both Group and business-specific KPIs This will require working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales teams and tools.
- Coordinate the development and update of Group HuRi training contents and the integration in broader sustainability training pathways as needed. Deliver trainings based on needs.
- Support as needed on other initiatives and projects, such as sustainability communications, sustainability trainings, sustainability benchmark analysis, sustainability presentations and toolkits. Focus areas may include carbon accounting, circular economy, and supply chain sustainability.
**Your background**:
- Master degree/Master/courses in sustainability field.
- 2-5 years of experience in the field of sustainability, ESG reporting aspects / (alternative) exposure to ESG reporting and sustainability.
- Possibly additional work or personal experience in the field of Corporate Responsibility (including volunteering, internship in NGOs, UN organizations).
- Strong interest into building a career into corporate sustainability with global exposure.
- Analytical and structured approach to problem solving and interdisciplinary thinking skills.
- Strong team-player. Highly proactive and result-driven attitude.
- Experience in working in a highly international business environment as well as in highly complex organizations. Proven influencing, communication, and networking skills in an international organization.
- Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
