The SQE role is to support the business growth and development of the global supply chain and ensure quality and sustainability compliance of very critical raw materials.The SQE will be reporting to the Global Supply Quality and Development manager and work in close collaboration with Global Category Manager for Oils, Chemicals, and Insulation raw materials.It is an excellent opportunity for you if you can bring to us knowledge in the process industry and you like to grow in the supplier quality area and develop global business experience working for a leader in its field.Your responsibilitiesCategory Quality Roadmap: In line with global category roadmap, develop and execute comprehensive supplier quality agenda to ensure sustainable quality in the categorySupplier Qualification: Evaluate the quality management system of the suppliers and align on corrective actions with the suppliers and follow-up the resolutionSupplier Assessment (On-site Audits): Plan and conduct the required supplier on-site audits, corrective action plan alignment with the suppliers.
Verify the effective closure of corrective action plan items by the supplier sideParts Qualification: Lead the production part approval process (PPAP) for the new supplier parts/materials, including the coordination of trial parts and first article inspection activities with the factory qualitySupplier Non-Conformity Resolution: Lead the non-conformity resolution process with the suppliers in case of the escalated technical issues from the factories and ensure the effective root-cause analysis and the countermeasure implementation by the suppliersSupplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and consolidate the supplier delivery and quality KPI's, the critical non-conformities escalated from the factories.
Identify the top concern suppliers within the categorySupplier Performance Improvement: Lead the supplier performance improvement actions for the targeted suppliers to meet the customer and the Hitachi Energy factories' expectations (following DMAIC and/or 8D methodology)Supplier Quality Agreement: Lead Supply Quality Assurance Agreement coverage in alignment with the BU Category ManagerInterface with Other Functions and the suppliers: Closely collaborate with the Category teams to support the implementation of Category strategy.
Function as liaison between SCM, Technology, Quality and Operations and the Suppliers to prioritize supplier development needs at global levelYour backgroundYou have a bachelor's and/or master's degree in one of the disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similarYou have 8+ years of production, quality assurance or supplier development experience in an international production companyExperience with electrical insulation materials production or quality (e.g.
: pressboards, paper, laminates) is a strong advantageProven record of managing global quality programsYou have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to create a collaborative environment for accomplishing project objectives in international environmentYou are responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented work approachStrong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (e.g., ISO-9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)You have solid experience with auditing in production processesYou have strong technical problem-solving skills and in-depth understanding of quality control/assurance methodsYou are willing to travel up to 50% of your time and are fluent in English both written and spokenYou are familiar with Quality and Continuous Improvement tools and processes (e.g., Kaizen, DMAIC, A3, 8D, 5Why Analysis)You have experience with APQP/PPAP, P-FMEA, Process Control Plan, Statistical Process Control, and inspection test plan creation #J-18808-Ljbffr
