Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to establish a zero-accident culture and best-in-class safety performance.
Develop quality standards for various product lines and business units, emphasising customer satisfaction and process excellence (metal fabrication, painting, electrical assembly, final testing).
Formulate and implement a vision to meet regional long-term plans (up to 5 years), enhancing the company's supply footprint with business partners.
Oversee sourcing for key commodities in Europe, excluding strategic items (engines, alternators, batteries, inverters).
Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) for business units, supporting new product introductions and resolving key allocation conflicts.
Ensure synchronisation between supply chain and production to maximise efficiency and minimise costs, leading planning and management to execute SIOP plans effectively.
Manage logistics across European facilities, optimising transportation and warehousing costs while ensuring smooth last-mile execution.
Implement and improve material/inventory management best practices (PFEP, ABC XYZ Analysis, purchasing methods, warehouse management, advanced replenishment methods).
Ensure continuous supply of quality components and assemblies.
Partner with HR to develop talent, ensuring smooth succession plans and career paths for top talent and consolidated professionals.
Coach and mentor Operations and Supply Chain teams to enhance engagement and establish effective communication with stakeholders.
Drive advancements in core processes, digitisation, and lean manufacturing, focusing on creating continuous material flow.
Facilitate communication among team members and resolve conflicts effectively.
Education, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management); advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred. Preferred certifications: CPIM, CSCP. 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing professionals. ERP/MRP super user (SAP, Oracle, JDE). Proven performance and career progression in operations and supply chain. Ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams across cultures and geographies. Strong organisational, time management, and quantitative skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. Experience with material flow, supermarkets, and supplier pull replenishment models. Tangible experience in lean manufacturing and digitisation. Fluency in Italian and English, both written and verbal. Key Competencies: Flexibility in approach and support for procedural, technological, and responsibility changes. Strong organisational skills, anticipating problems and applying creative solutions. Ability to support mergers and acquisitions and lead profitable integration of acquired companies.
