Description For our Transformers Business Unit, we are looking for a Global Product Care Manager for Insulation and Components (f/m/d) to join our international and diverse team.
Your responsibilities Own the portfolio deployment and product care of transformer Insulation Components globally, being responsible for technical support.Ensure maintenance of drawings/assemblies and technical documents, including relevant technical and/or test reports; support the Hubs in highly detailed technical discussions, workshops, and support requests such as complex customizations (seismic verifications, thermal and dielectric simulations, etc.), calculations/design reviews, and similar, qualification of alternative suppliers for key components, by leveraging team competencies.Take responsibility for technical decisions/maintenance of the content of configurators/masters of configuration rules of configurable products.Support the transfer of technology with prompt transfer of technical documentation and eventual training on product design.Develop people in the global product care organization to ensure skill-will criteria are met and competencies continuously improve.Support in defining and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve processes for operational enhancements while maintaining quality standards.Provide the global management with technical feedback and improvement proposals focused on cost reduction and continuous improvement in subsequent production activities.Live the core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your background: Bachelor's degree (Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or relevant science field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree is a plus. Alternatively, strong experience in the electrical industry and related support activities.Minimum of 7 years of experience in products such as bushings, tap changers, insulation material, with a solid background; knowledge of Hitachi Energy insulation portfolio and design experience is considered a plus.Strong proven experience managing in a matrixed organization with clear examples and results.Leadership with good communication skills in oral and written English, with colleagues from multiple countries. Experience in managing international scope in global organizations.Skills in simulation, calculation, and definition of qualification/test plans are considered valuable assets.Willingness to travel
