Job Scope
The Indirect Category Specialist will play an important role in ensuring our company's operational excellence, significantly contributing to our mission of providing innovative solutions in the Life Science sector.
The Indirect Category Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving cost savings within the sourcing of Low Volumes services and materials and professional services, improving service quality, and ensuring business continuity while adhering to the highest industry standards of quality and compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sourcing and Selection: identifying and selecting qualified suppliers. Evaluating proposals and negotiating contractual terms. Cost Optimization: analyzing current costs and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. MRO Management: implementation of procurement strategies for maintenance, repair, and operations costs, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and regulations. Contract Management: continuously monitoring the performance of suppliers, ensuring business continuity. Data Analysis: utilizing data analysis tools to identify trends, optimize sourcing decisions, and measure the impact of procurement initiatives. Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering. At least 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing role. Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes. Experience in using sourcing and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Jaggaer). Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports. Results-oriented: Ability to achieve defined objectives efficiently and effectively. Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to implement them. Negotiation: Good negotiation and persuasion skills. Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and orally. Collaboration: Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
