As a member of the Global Procurement & Real Estate team, this role is focused on organizing and managing sourcing projects across multiple categories based on defined priorities and sourcing plan.
The primary geographical focus is on headquarters spend and categories that require centrally led sourcing and coordination.
Especially in professional services, logistics and travel.
Following the competitive selection process, this role also focuses on contract negotiations, implementation and follow-up.
This person is responsible for preparation and execution of the full sourcing process.
**Reporting line**: Global Procurement Director
**Responsibilities**:
- Sourcing, Negotiating, Contracting and Supplier Management
- Actively prepares data input from relevant sources for annual pipeline development.
- Participates in development of annual pipeline of sourcing projects.
- Prepares and executes sourcing projects in line with SGS processes and best practices.
This includes, but is not limited to: data collection and analysis, scoping, suppliers identification, RFP documentation preparation, evaluation of suppliers submissions and analysis in order to give recommendations at TCO level to stakeholders for the next steps.
- Is accountable for sourcing projects delivery and related timelines.
- Ensures the tenders are executed in a way that they deliver best value (price / product or service), with minimum risk to SGS affiliates.
- Manages contract negotiations.
Acts as a liaison between the supplier, stakeholder and legal.
- Ensures that results of negotiations are fully understood and actively follows up on implementation of sourcing projects outcomes.
- Reviews suppliers performance based on agreed KPIs and SLAs on regular bases.
- Assist business when required in the operational supplier relationship management.
- Proactively uses SGS procurement tools (spend analytics, sourcing, projects/savings reporting, contract, database, etc.
).
**Qualifications**
- University degree in Business Administration, Procurement or Supply Chain.
- At least three years of experience in a strategic Procurement role in a multinational organization.
- Proven sourcing and negotiation experience.
- Understanding of contract laws and standard forms of contracts.
- Entrepreneurial skills, allowing to take independent decisions when appropriate, always in alignment with the line manager.
- Clear and fast thinker able to talk "stakeholder language" and convince them; Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls.
- Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities, interacting and adjusting to diverse cultures and timezones.
- Ability to collaborate fully virtually with teams, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Fluent in English with ability to negotiate in English is a must.
Another language a plus.
