Global Mobility Function Manager
**Your role and responsibilities**:
The global mobility function supports the management of employee movement across the globe. We achieve this by providing specialist knowledge and expertise to deliver development opportunities, solutions, advice, compliance and risk mitigation to our people and the business. The Global Mobility Specialist role helps support this mission statement at both a team and a global level. Providing support and advice to both the assignee and the business this role is key to the coordination of Global Mobility activities within across ABB. Reporting to the GM team leader, the Global Mobility Specialist role helps manage international assignments and support the Global Mobility strategy across the globe: acting as a single point of contact case manager for assignees and the business, this role will provide high-level support and advice in all areas of assignment management. The work model for the role is: #LI-Remote You will be mainly accountable for: - Managing the assignment process for a wide population of assignees in-line with ABB's Global Mobility policies and philosophy. - Acting as a case manager who is the single point of contact for the assignee and family to provide advice in the end-to-end management of their individual assignment within the ABB Group. - Briefing assignees on the conditions of the assignment package and provide support on understanding of the terms of the mobility policy and any related benefits. - Providing advice, guidance and support to the assignee on all matters relating to their tax, immigration and legal requirements regarding the assignment. Assignee has the information on who to contact etc. - Liaising with HR Business partner and relevant business line to coordinate assignment move process. - Ensuring that global SSCs produces all assignment related paperwork and support documentation. - Ensuring that third party providers are instructed by SSC to the assignment process; this could include suppliers for: tax; immigration; destination services; cultural training and move services. - Supporting counterparts in the Global Mobility Function worldwide in managing assignments. Facilitation assignment life cycle. Working with Key Account Managers to provide updates on assignment status. You will join dynamic and talented team, where you will be able to thrive.
**Qualifications for the role**:
- You enjoy working within an international environment and across diverse cultures.
- You have at least 3 years of HR experience preferably managing global mobility matters.
- You possess good IT skills and the ability to manipulate data to report on trends and common themes.
- You are able to maintain relationships in the business at varying levels of seniority. You possess good communication skills and be able to interact with people of different cultures and nationalities.
- You enjoy providing an analysis of information and trends back to the business.
- You have good organizational, planning and decision-making skills.
- You are at ease communicating in English, additional languages preferable
