Pain & OncologyKey accountabilities:
Lead and execute the global medical strategy for the assigned therapeutic area in-line with the portfolio and company strategy.Working with the cross-functional team for the assigned therapeutic area, create and develop the medical strategic direction and tactical medical plans at a global level.Implement medical and scientific activities in support of the global strategies for the assigned therapeutic area and products.Work closely with country medical teams to support implementation of the global medical strategy locally and gain input into the global planning.Represent global medical affairs on relevant cross functional teams for the assigned therapeutic area and products, providing medical and scientific contribution.Build and manage relationships with global key external experts (KEEs), medical societies and patient advocacy groups for the assigned therapeutic area.Collaborate with relevant scientific affairs functions to support clinical data generation for the assigned therapeutic area.Follow medical developments within the assigned therapeutic area and disseminate new information to the core teams and wider medical teams.In collaboration with the Global Medical Operations function, produce, deliver, and implement high calibre disease area and product training for the assigned therapeutic area where required.Understand the obligations of industry standards, codes, and regulations to conduct all activities compliantly and meet highest standards to ensure patient safety and GCP and ICH guidelines.Scientific ExpertiseKeep up to date with latest scientific research and clinical data relevant to your focus molecule / drugComplianceOperate in a highly ethical manner and comply with all laws, regulations and policies.Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP's, guidance are issuedEssential Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceMD or relevant advanced scientific degree:
