You will serve as a GLOBAL FORCE MANAGEMENT DIVISION CHIEF in the NAVEUR/NAVAF/SIXTH of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA, Italy. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying national security policy to the interrelationships among the National Military Strategy, Global Naval Force presence Policy (GNFPP), Global Military Force Presence Policy (GMFPP), DoD, CJCS, and Navy policy guidance to relate to sourcing of forces; Analyzing global force management to meet the priorities of the command's area of responsibility; Monitoring potential allocation changes to cover and execute plans, operations, and Theater Security Cooperation; and Ensuring assets are available through the global sourcing process to support planned operations. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position may require employee to deploy to sea or other forward-deployed headquarters location to support joint exercise, training or contingency operations. Employee should be physically capable of operating effectively in confined spaces, negotiating narrow passageways and ladders, and functioning in a shipboard environment with austere medical support.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET w/ TS/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
