Your role and responsibilities In this pivotal role, you will champion our digital strategy for sustainable growth, driving the continuation of OPTIMAX and pioneering new sustainability solutions that leverage the power of Cloud and Edge technologies.
As the key technical entry point and high-level discussion partner for our global RD management, you will influence the direction of cutting-edge technologies and processes, showcasing your technical and scientific leadership.
Your leadership and mentorship will be crucial in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within our digital software engineering team, which is spread across various geographical locations.
You will develop and implement a robust technical strategy for digital software development, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices while keeping an eye on global market trends.
Managing the end-to-end development process for our digital software products will be a key responsibility, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will guide the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions for Digital Sustainability and PPM, taking into account global regulatory and market requirements.
Staying ahead of the curve by evaluating new technologies and tools, you will make strategic recommendations based on technical feasibility, business value, and market demands.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your role as you work closely with business developers, sales, product management, software engineering, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and develop product roadmaps that meet diverse customer needs.
Qualifications for the role To excel in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience and expertise.
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
With at least 15 years of experience in software engineering, you have honed your skills in industrial and digital applications or control systems, preferably within a global context.
Your proven track record of leadership and success in guiding high-performing software engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones will be essential.
You possess strong expertise in industrial software development, including experience with AI/ML Generative AI, Cloud native applications, and UI/UX development, all from a global perspective.
Your proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++/C#, Java, .NET, or Python will enable you to tackle complex technical challenges.
Additionally, your experience with agile development and scrum methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices in a distributed team environment will ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Your knowledge of general finance and understanding of risk management and incident handling will be invaluable in navigating the complexities of a highly regulated industry.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are a must, as you will need to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
