Job Scope To act as a primary reference in the SD&I Immuno team in regards to Big Data, in particular for the acquisition, extraction, transformation and analysis of data, as well as the design and presentation of meaningful aggregates
Key Duties and Responsibilities Interacts with SD&I Immuno teams to identify valuable data sources and define best collection processes Provides pre-processing of data, directly or by interacting with external sources Analyzes large data sets to identify trends and patterns within new or existing systems or products Programs macros, routines, SW code to extract, elaborate and analyze data as required Cooperates with experts in data predictive models and machine-learning algorithms for Immuno systems and assays Provides or cooperates with external sources for the provision of models and tools to evaluate and enhance laboratory automation for internal and external users of Immuno systems Provides recommendations to SD&I Immuno Software, Consumable, Assay Integration and Hardware teams and to Product Development team for the definition of new systems or products or updates to the existing versions Provides insights to Marketing and Commercial organization on clients' behaviors related with the use of devices in order to explore new commercial opportunities and maximize the revenue stream Cooperates with SD&I Cloud team to provide input about data need for storage on Cloud Provides and presents information in aggregate form using data visualization techniques Ensures compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures. Education, Experience, and Qualifications Education: Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree (PhD) in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred Experience: 5+ years' experience in an equivalent role with specific focus on: Data mining SW programming Machine learning and big data analysis Discrete events simulation and operations research (optimization models, linear and non- linear programming) Previous experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) and/or highly regulated FDA environments and biotechnology industry experience is highly appreciated Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is appreciated Experience with working under ISO 13485 Understanding of machine-learning and operations research Programming experience Seasoned experience using Microsoft Office package Effective ability to analyze, synthesize and get the "so what" of the analysis Interdisciplinary thought Clear and concise writing skills Well organized, ability to work well independently as well as part of a team High commitment and willingness to learn Positive, proactive and open-minded attitude Focus on results "Think-big" approach Fluent spoken and written Italian and English Travels may be required sporadically What we offer Receive a competitive salary and benefits package as you grow your career at DiaSorin.
