(url removed) PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Supports the Commercial / Marketing functions in defining the concept and technical solutions for vehicle attachments and ensures the correct interfaces between vehicle and components.
He/She leads small group with other functions out of product development (mainly purchasing, marketing, commercial and supplier) to assure the technical feasibility following the Product Development and the Current Product process phases.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In order to achieve the tasks, the main responsibilities of the position include:
- He/She looks for the best technical solution given design requirements, in accordance with the objectives on cost, quality and timing
- He/She manages the release of the drawings; defines and populate BOM's, manages the Engineering Change process
- He/She prepares the technical documentation for assessments on costs / investments to support decision-making processes
- He/She provides the necessary technical informationfor the vehicles testing and the field test and for the management of ' problem solving ' in the quality issue needed
- He/She manages design activities as co-design and outsourcing services with suppliers and compliance with plans and objectives
- Mechanical Engineering degree or technical background desired
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle/mechanical design
- Advanced knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Technical skills:
advanced knowledge of technical drawings, mechanical, building science and materials, manufacturing technologies with focus on mechanical systems/layouts
- Use and knowledge of procedures for the area:
DFMEA, Check List Drawings, Virtual Validation, Process Audit.
Understanding electric/hydraulic schematics
- Advanced CAD 3D user (TeamCenter, VisMockup and Creo preferred)
- Microsoft packages:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Prior experience in design of Construction equipment is preferredAdditional job requirements:
- Full clean Driving Licence
- Ability to travel around the territory and availability to occasional travels (Italy and abroad) with some over-night stays
- Languages:
