Global Account Manager (GAM) will be responsible for providing global business leadership and management for one of the biggest and most complex accounts in AWS Energy Utilities Industry Sector, headquartered in Rome, Italy.
Reporting to the EMEA Sales Leader, this role is highly critical to support and drive this global account across the next wave of cloud adoption while supporting its business priorities.You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources.
You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with the AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction.The ideal candidate will possess an energy and utility business background, sales, management, and technical background that enables them to lead a team with engagements at the CXO level, energy line of business leaders as well as with software developers and IT architects.Key Job Responsibilities:Teaming with the customer's IT Organization to build strategic relationships across the account.Articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm while impacting all business groups.Selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.Working with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS.Additional Responsibilities:Drive revenue and market share in the defined account.Meet or exceed yearly revenue targets.Accelerate customer adoption.Maintain a robust sales pipeline.Work with partners to extend reach drive adoption.Ensure customer satisfaction.Minimum Requirements:Extensive experience in services, technology sales and sales management.Experience in the utility energy industry segment, preferably in very large global accounts.Strong leadership and people management skills.Business acumen to comprehend customer strategy and energy business drivers.Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with customers, both at operational and C-level with fluency in written and spoken English and Italian.Preferred Qualifications:A deep knowledge of the main account to manage is highly recommended, including IT and business main stakeholders.Experience in operating complex international organisations.Excellent problem solving skills with high emotional intelligence.A knowledge of the cloud financial model is a plus.Spanish language skills would be beneficial.About AWS: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
