Job Description Our Environment Team in Italy is looking for a Geotechnical Environmental Engineer to be included in the Engineering group, for geotechnical design activities.

The candidates will join the Environment Team that, with more than 100 staff, provides services on large-scale environmental and civil engineering projects.
The successful candidates will develop a wide range of skills, with significant training and career possibilities.
The training program will take place within multidisciplinary working groups and will include the planning, checking, and interpretation of geotechnical tests (both in situ and laboratory), use of specific geotechnical software for stability analyses of excavation trenches, slopes, design of opencut excavations, retaining walls, foundations structures and underground structures, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of steady flow and numerical analysis of complex soil-structures interaction problems through finite elements codes.
Training also provides a basic introduction to most recent tools for 3D modelling in use in civil engineering practice such as Civil 3D.
Qualifications: +5 years of related experience in consulting company; Fluency in Italian and English; Demonstrable interest in geotechnical and environmental projects; Experience in organization, supervision, and interpretation of laboratory and field geotechnical tests; Knowledge of software for geotechnical design (i.e.
PARATIE, GROUP, AZTEC package, PLAXIS 2D-3D); Knowledge of AUTOCAD environment; Ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revision; Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities; Ability to produce geotechnical and calculation reports and design sheets based on results and design activities; Motivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment; Ability to work under pressure; Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs; Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally; Strong attention to details; Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits; Strong personal initiative, agility, and resourcefulness; Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite, in particular, Excel; Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Environmental Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering.
