The Gears Production Supervisor will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. This individual will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Provide direction and leadership to production employees, including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training
- Guide daily production needs; direct handover meeting with team leaders
- Own the results of business critical metrics including safety, quality and effectivity
- Take a leadership role in working with cross-functional peers in manufacturing engineering, materials, quality, and product support engineering to root cause and resolve issues
- Deliver fulfillment / output consistent with the goals and objectives of the department
- Arrange for adequate staffing to meet the production schedules set by production planning and consistent with the operating plan; anticipate needs in advance
- Support, encourage and facilitate core manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects that deliver impact to the key business metrics
- Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Workplace including support for a 5-S program, active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards
- Develop and support the growth of all employees
- Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
- Proactively manage difficult situations
- Work with HR to develop a performance oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted
**Requirements**:
- Master's degree from an accredited university
- Significant experience in manufacturing in aeronautical sector in planning or supervisors or technologies roles
- Technical knowledge of mechanical transmissions
- Fluent Italian and English
- Work visa in accordance with local regulation is required
